  Popular Video Formats

We can create a DVD for you from these video formats:

VHS (the full size tapes that fit in most VCR’s)
VHS-C (these are for compact camcorders like Panasonic)
Beta or Betamax (an older format; last used in the ’80s)

Hi-8 (these are for compact camcorders like Sony and Canon)
Digital 8 (a relatively new format for compact camcorders)
miniDV (the new digital video tape format)
DVD (generally these are DVD-R, but there are other variations)
CD-ROM for mpeg, AVI, wmv and other digital files)

Video Tape Transfer Prices
VHS, VHS-C, Hi-8, Digital 8 & miniDV:
$20.00* for the first two hours of tape length and $8.00 for each additional hour of tape length
*add $10.00 per DVD disc required (up to 6 hours of video per disc)

Since we work on a first come- first served basis the turnaround time for copies will vary. Sometimes we are requested to 'edit out' certain parts of a tape or to record only a portion of a tape. This can be done - but at significant additional cost - due to the extra time/equipment required. If you need multiple copies of a master video, the unit pricing may become lower after the initial conversion.

Although video cassette housings and DVD media are essentially standard world-wide, the actual signal that is recorded varies from country to country. Because of these multiple standards in video recording, videotapes and DVDs from certain foreign countries must be converted to the American television standard format (NTSC) in order to be played back on American VCRs or DVD players. Likewise, videotapes or DVDs recorded in the American format (NTSC) must be converted to another format (usually PAL or SECAM) in order to be viewed in another country.

  Popular Audio Formats

We can create an audio CD for you from these formats:

Cassette Tapes (the predecessor to CD's)
8-Track tapes (Personal music goes mobile!)
Vinyl records (LP's, 33-1/2, 78, and 45 RPMs)
Reel to reel audio tape (Small or high capacity reels)

Create your very own music CDs! We can create "tracks" of your favorite tunes and mix music from all of the above formats. Take some songs from a cassette tape, a few from an old LP album and maybe some from an old 8track tape. We can mix them together onto one CD for your listening enjoyment. How cool is that?
We can also remove most of those annoying "pops, cracks and hisses" commonly associated with those old LPs and records.

Audio Transfer Prices:
Cassette Tapes: $10.00* per hour of tape
Vinyl LPs: $12.50 * per album side
Other Vinyl Records: Please contact us for pricing*
*add $10.00 per DVD disc required (up to 6 hours of video per disc)

T
ransfer options for Slides?

There are two types of slide transfer:

  1. High Resolution Scan - This transfer technique results in the creation of individual digital files for each slide that are then recorded onto a CD. As the name suggests, the resolution quality of scanned slides is much higher than those that are scanned for television. Once put on CD, you can easily view the slides by using your home computer. This is also a great option if you want to print out any of the images or even e-mail them to friends and family.
  2. Slide Montage- This method of slide transfer results in a DVD "movie" of the years gone by. The video will open with a broadcast quality title and then each of your slides will be displayed for approximately 6 seconds. As one slide fades out, the next slide is smoothly fading in, with music playing in the background. This method is generally more economical than the high resolution scanning process mentioned above and may easily be viewed on your television using a DVD player.

T
ransfer options for Photos
  • Electronically crop out unwanted areas of a photo.

  • Color correct the image.

  • Touch up scratches, rips and stains.

  • High Resolution Scan - As with slides, this transfer technique results in the creation of individual digital files for each photograph that is then recorded onto a CD. This is a great option if you want to print out any of the images in a larger format than the original photo.

  • Get creative and combine the elements of a couple or more photos together! This is a really cool option for adding special effects to your photos.

  • Create a photographic montage. As with slides, you can have a "movie" made of your still images. Add music or "voice-overs for special effects and added entertainment!
